FOUNDER: DR FESTUS ODUNAYO OSHOBA, MBBS, FWACS, FMCOPTH, FCIA, MPA, FICS, MNIM, MPH, LLB
Dr Oshoba obtained his medical degree from the University of Ilorin in 1984. As a medical student he won the Federal Government Merit Award Scholarship for outstanding Academic performance. He also won the CIBA GIEGY PRIZE in 1983 and 1984 in a National Essay Competition for Medical Students. He was one of the two best graduating students in June 1984.
He furthered his medical career with residency training at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital from where he sat for examinations at the West African College of Surgeons and was awarded a Fellowship in Ophthalmology in November 1992. He also sat for examinations conducted by the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and was awarded the Fellowship of the College in Ophthalmology in May 1993.
He went through a course of study in corporate managerial administration at the Chartered Institute of Administration and became an associate through examination in 1998. He rose through the ranks and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration in 2003. He is also a member of the Governing Council of the Institute. He obtained a Masters degree in Public Administration at the University of Lagos in 2003 as well as a Master’s degree in public Health in 2005 at the same Institution. He is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Management since 2003.
He has had training in intra ocular lens (IOL) micro surgery from JPM Rotary Eye Hospital & Research Institute, Bidanasi Cuttack, India, as well as Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (MSCIS) and cataract Phaco- emulsification surgery. He has also received training in Ocular Sonography, having obtained a certificate from Medical Consult Center for Ultrasound Research and Education at the Lagos University teaching hospital.
Dr Oshoba has attended various courses, including the advanced management consulting course at the Administrative Staff College (ASCON) , Badagry in 2007. He is a Fellow, international College of Surgeons (FICS) since April 2003. He is an associate member, Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria( IMCON) since October 2007
He has worked as a classroom teacher in St John’s Grammar School, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.in 1977. He was a clerical officer with the defunct National Bank of Nigeria at Shagamu in 1978. His undergraduate medical training was from 1978 October to June 1984. He served the Lagos State Government for twenty years in various capacities from October 1986 to September 2006 at the General Hospital, Broad Street, Lagos. He was Assistant Coordinating Director, Post graduate residency training unit, Lagos State Hospitals Management Board. He was also programme coordinator of the Lagos State prevention of blindness project.
He retired as Chief Consultant Ophthalmologist Special Grade and Head of Department of Ophthalmology in 2006. He served as Registrar Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria 2006-2008.

He has also delivered some public lectures.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR: Navy Capt (Dr) Uwah Etim Effiong (Rtd), FSS, MSS., M.B.B.S, DO-WACS
Uwah Etim is an experienced Ophthalmologist. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Lagos in 1984 and did his internship at the military hospital, Yaba, Lagos from August ’84 to July 1985. His training in Ophthalmology was at the West African College of Surgeons where he obtained a Diploma in Ophthalmology.
He was appointed medical officer at the Nigeria Navy Hospital, Ojo, Lagos from 1985-1986. He was Senior Medical Officer from 1986 to1990 at the Nigerian Navy Medical Center, Calabar. From 1990 to 1992 he was the Senior Medical Officer in Charge at the Medical Center Nigerian Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island, Lagos. From September 1992 to July 1994 he was the Principal Medical Officer and Officer- in-Charge at the Sani Abacha Barracks Medical Center, Abuja.
His next appointment was at Naval Base Medical Centre, Sapele from 1994- 1999 as Officer-in-charge/ Principal medical officer. Dr Uwah was the Chief Medical Officer in the Department of Accident and Emergency, Navy Hospital, Lagos from September 1999-2001. He practiced as an Ophthalmologist at the Nigerian Navy Hospital, Lagos Eye clinic from 2003-2004.
He became a Naval Captain and practiced as an Ophthalmologist at the Naval Dockyard Medical Centre from January to October 2005. He retired from active military service in December 2005. He joined Ladkem Eye Hospital in 2006 and is currently the Medical Director. He consults at the Nigerian Navy reference Hospital, Navy Town, Lagos as a visiting Ophthalmologist.
OPTOMETRIST: Dr. Eberechukwu Uzoegbu O.D
Ebere Uzoegbu had her primary education at Maryland Convent Private School, Ikeja and secondary education at St. Maria Goretti Girls’ Secondary School, Orlu. She has a Bachelors’ degree in Optical Technology and is also a Doctor of Optometry both from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
She was deployed to Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), where she served at Hafsat Eye Center, a subsidiary of the Tulsi Chanrai Foundation for her primary assignment as a corps member.
Asides serving at her place of primary assignment, she also worked as a volunteer with the World Health Organization towards the eradication of Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) and consequently Polio in the state.
Being a former relationship officer of the First City Monument Bank (FCMB), she is aware of the impact of customer service on business. She is empathetic, kind, success-driven and committed to delivering quality eye care services to her patients.
She is currently an Optometrist at Ladkem Eye Hospital. Her objective is to develop a career in a challenging environment where she can positively make impact towards the greater benefit of the organization and to provide comprehensive services in a merit-driven environment with superior performance and she strives toward this in every area of her work.
OPTOMETRIST: Dr. Chinedu Izuagba O.D
Dr Chinedu is a qualified optometrist with commendable skill and expertise. He attended St. John Chrysostom Seminary Osina, Imo State. He then proceeded to Imo State University and was awarded O.D (Doctor of Optometry) in 2016. Upon graduation he served in Imo State University Optometry Clinic as their Clinician President.
Dr. Chinedu was privileged to work with Zelus Eye Hospital in partnership with Ebonyi State Ministry of Health to provide primary eye care delivery to all the primary and secondary school teachers in Ebonyi State.
Dr Chinedu joined as an intern at Ladkem Eye Hospital, Surulere, Lagos State, May 2018.
HEAD NURSE: Nurse Veronica Chiboroma ZEPHANIAH RN, BNSc
Mrs. Zephaniah is a unique elite nurse who hails from Elele Aliminin in Emohua Local Government Area in Rivers State. She had her nursery, primary and Secondary tertiary education in Rivers State. She obtained her BNSc degree from University of Port Harcourt. She is a smart, intelligent, proficient, innovative, cheerful, honest and very likeable person who is also a very good team player.
STAFF NURSE: Amarachukwu Doris IKEH, RN, BNSc
Nurse Ikeh attended University of Nigeria, Nsukka where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing science and final professional examination as a Registered Nurse in 2013. She did her National Youth Service Cops (NYSC) at Coker Aguda Primary Health Care Centre, Surulere from July 2014 to August 2015.
She is a smart and hardworking lady with good communication skills. Her objective is to strive for continuous improvement and to carry out her duties in-line with professional best practices for optimum service delivery.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP OFFICER: Mrs. Patience Ayorinde ADARAMAJA. B.Sc
Mrs Adaramaja is a graduate of Biochemistry from the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. She is an embodiment of customer relations management.
She has an excellent communication, listening and human relationship skills. She is a fast learner and a great team player. She is proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
ACCOUNTANT/HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR, Tijani Omale HASSAN, B.sc Accounting
Mr Hassan is the Accountant and Administrator of Ladkem Eye Hospital. He deals with the hospitals financial report maintenance of basic books of Account, ensuring that all cash, bank balances and other subsidiary account are regularly updated and reconciled. He acts as liaison with the bankers on company transactions. He is in charge of coordinating of all Health Insurance cases (HMO) also ensuring efficient management of assets and liabilities of the company.
Mr. Hassan graduated from the Lagos State University, Ojo where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Accounting in 2008, prior to that he obtained a diploma in Accounting from the University of Abuja. He has worked with Asatel Telephone Telecom as Cash Officer in the Finance Department. He has also worked with Munchies Fast Food as the Cost/Product Analyst in the Audit Department. He also worked with De Chills Café (Lagos) as the Accounts Controller after which he joined Chicken Lovers Fast Food Ltd as the Head of Internal Audit. He worked with Links Micro Finance Bank Ltd before he joined Ladkem Eye Hospital in 2009.
Mr Hassan is committed to excellence and has added value to every corporation he worked with. He achieved an improved efficient & effective solid Internal control system during his time at Chicken Lovers, an improvement on the requisition procedure of raw material from the store and setting proper accounting system at De Chills Cafe. There was significant reduction in material wastage, and brought significant increase in products yield (i.e. output) at Munchies Fast Food Ltd.
He is Proficient in the use of Microsoft -Word, Microsoft -Excel, Power point, Quick Book financial and point of sales. His focus is to maintain excellent communication and inter-personal skills and an ability to work with little supervision and under pressure. Has a high level of Integrity and honesty and also enjoys challenging task, a good team player and has a high passion for result.

CORPORATE AFFAIRS/ QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER Onifade Olayinka Abiola B.Sc, animn, CPGDM, MBA
Mr. Abiola completed a degree course in Marketing at Lagos State University in 2005. He obtained both an Associate Membership Certificate and Chartered Post Graduate Diploma Certificate of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria in 2009 and 2010 respectively. In 2012 he also completed his Masters in Business Administration - Financial Management at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
His work experience spans Stock brokering firm, Facility management firm and Professional Training Institute as Equity Analyst, Sales Assistant and Administrative Assistant (Corporate Affairs/Training) respectively before joining Ladkem Eye Hospital as the Corporate Affairs / Business Development Officer.
